Beeson Creates a Night of Connection at Kilby Court

March 1, 2025

There’s something special about seeing an artist perform in an intimate space, and Beeson’s sold-out show at Kilby Court was no exception. The small venue allowed fans to be up close, creating a personal and emotional experience throughout the night. For some, it was a long-awaited return—one fan seeing Beeson for the eighth time shared how the song “Everybody’s Baby” had been a favorite since its release, even before it gained recognition.

Another, attending for the second time, talked about her love for Best Case Girl and how it became a go-to song to share with friends. Others were experiencing Beeson live for the first time, including a fan who found comfort in I Haven’t Seen You Since Summer, a song that helped her stay grounded in moments of overthinking.

Between songs, Beeson opened up about her journey, sharing stories that made the show feel even more personal. She spoke about how Salt Lake City played a major role in her career, having started her music while attending BYU. Many of her songs reflect themes of self-care, something she considers important, and she told the audience that her decision to include Pink Light in the setlist came directly from a fan request in her Discord community. She also reminisced about meeting one of her best friends on a beach, bonding over their dreams—hers of being a musician and her friend’s of becoming a horse trainer—which later inspired the song Just Got Now.

As the night went on, it became clear just how much SLC means to Beeson. She spoke about writing Best Case Girl just two blocks from Kilby Court and how the city’s music scene shaped her growth as an artist. She even shared about how during her travels to SLC that she cried during a complicated Delta flight. But despite the struggles of touring, she told the crowd that Salt Lake City always feels like home. As the final song played and the crowd swayed in unison, it was a reminder of why live music is so powerful—the ability to bring people together through shared experiences and heartfelt songs.
