YUNGBLUD Brings Raw Energy and Love to Salt Lake City’s Sold-Out Show
AUGUST 26 ,2025

Salt Lake City witnessed an unforgettable night when YUNGBLUD took over The Union with a sold-out crowd that roared from the barricade to the back row. Known for his explosive stage presence and genre-bending anthems, YUNGBLUD delivered a performance that was equal parts catharsis, and community. From the moment he stepped on stage, he made sure every fan felt seen, celebrated, and part of the family. During “Loner,” the venue shook as the crowd jumped in unison, while “Fleabag” saw YUNGBLUD pull a lucky fan from the audience to join him on stage to play the guitar. Later, during “Lowlife,” the crowd lifted each other onto shoulders, embodying the sense of rebellion and unity his music inspires.

Before the show, we caught up with fans who had traveled from near and far to be part of the night. Maile and Kainoa, a brother and sister duo from Hawaii, were experiencing YUNGBLUD live for the first time. Maile, who listens to “Super Dead Friend” with her 10-year-old son daily, said the track means the world to her, while Kainoa connected with “Hate,” explaining it reminds him of his own struggles growing up. Their chosen emojis to describe YUNGBLUD summed it up perfectly: 🖤 and ♠️. Camille and Kassidy, first-timers from Ogden, Utah, both named “Zombie” as their favorite, with Camille relating to the song as a healthcare worker and Kassidy crediting it as her introduction to his music. Their emojis—👻 and ☠️—captured the spooky, rebellious vibe they love about him.

YUNGBLUD also gave Salt Lake City a heartfelt glimpse into his world. Mid-show, he spoke about how much Ozzy Osbourne inspired him to live fully and spread love, before delivering a tear-filled cover of Black Sabbath’s “Changes” that left the crowd breathless. He shared that he’s dreamed of playing in America since he was two years old, and declared this show one he’d never forget. Closing with the anthemic “Zombie,” YUNGBLUD made sure his Utah fans knew just how much he loves this city—and promised to return. For anyone who missed it, this wasn’t just a concert, it was a movement, and Salt Lake City will be buzzing about it until he comes back.
