Post Animal’s Electric Set at The Complex Reunites
Old Friends and New Fans
April 21,2025

Post Animal brought their psychedelic rock magic to a sold-out crowd at The Complex, opening for Djo in a show filled with nostalgia, reunion, and deep connection. The atmosphere was relaxed yet electric as fans swayed and cheered throughout the band’s set. The highlight of the night came when Joe Keery, former band member and now solo artist behind Djo, rejoined his old bandmates on stage. Together, they performed Post Animal’s latest track “Last Goodbye,” with Joe seamlessly blending into the band rather than stealing the spotlight—making the moment feel more like an intimate jam session than a staged reunion.

The crowd was filled with dedicated fans from all over
the region, many seeing Post Animal live for the first
time. A couple who had traveled from Pocatello, Idaho
shared how the soaring guitar lines and layered
harmonies in “Last Goodbye” made it a standout.
Another fan from Bountiful, Utah said her favorite track,
“Gelatin Bones,” had been a personal favorite even
before the show, but hearing it live and feeling the
crowd’s energy brought it to a new level.
One fan described the song “When I Get Home” as the emotional
anchor of the set. She had traveled with her boyfriend from Bountiful to
catch the show, and shared how the song reminded her of that deep,
peaceful feeling of returning home after a long wait. That sense of
comfort, connection, and homecoming was exactly what Post Animal
delivered to their fans that night—especially with Keery back in the fold,
even if just for one special performance
