X Ambassadors Celebrate 10 Years with an Unforgettable Night in Salt Lake City

September 12, 2025

X Ambassadors returned to Salt Lake City with a powerful performance at The Depot, celebrating their 10-year anniversary with a crowd that was buzzing with energy and emotion. Before the show, I spoke with a family who traveled from Elk Ridge, Utah, to be part of the night. For Dirk and Juli, this was their second time seeing the band live, while Elli and Amy were experiencing X Ambassadors in concert for the first time. Each shared their favorite songs that spoke to them personally: Juli felt deeply connected to Half-Life, a love song written by front man Sam Harris for his wife, and Your Town, which brought back memories of childhood. Dirk’s pick was Follow The Sound Of My Voice, inspired by Sam’s brother and band keyboardist, Casey Harris. Elli couldn’t resist the high energy of BOOM, while Amy went with the emotional hit Unsteady, a track that remains one of X Ambassadors’ most iconic songs.

The night’s setlist was a journey through the band’s history, blending new and old songs that carried stories of resilience, growth, and connection. Sam Harris spoke about their journey over the past decade, introducing Low Life, a track written during a time when he didn’t think much of himself, and thanking Imagine Dragons for giving them their first big break before performing Fear. In a rare treat for the Salt Lake City crowd, the band played Feather live for the very first time, followed by a heartfelt performance of Naked, with Sam encouraging fans to live openly, without judgment. Casey Harris then took the spotlight for a stunning keyboard solo that led into Unsteady, filling the room with raw emotion and gratitude for their fans who have been with them since the beginning.

As the night went on, X Ambassadors kept delivering one memorable moment after another. They performed fan favorites like Renegades before returning for an encore of Home and Hey Child. In a touching segment, Sam asked the audience who came with their best friend, dedicating Friends For Life to them as the crowd cheered in unison. Before closing, he teased that new music is on the way in 2026, sending waves of excitement through the room. The band wrapped up the night with Fragile and the powerful Hold You Down, leaving the Salt Lake City crowd feeling connected not only to the music but to each other.

X Ambassadors’ 10-year anniversary show at The Depot was more than just a concert—it was a reminder of the band’s ability to mix vulnerability with high energy, creating a live experience that fans won’t soon forget.
