Love, Audrey Brings Personal Connection and Passion to Kilby Court
March 1, 2025

Opening for Beeson at Kilby Court, Love,
Audrey delivered an intimate and engaging
performance, making full use of the venue’s up-
close atmosphere. The band thrived in the
personal setting, interacting with fans
throughout the night and even spending time at
their merch table, creating a welcoming space
for concertgoers. Their presence felt genuine,
proving that for Love, Audrey, music isn’t just
about performing—it’s about building
connections.

The band’s name carries a unique story, inspired by the character
Audrey Horne from Twin Peaks. The comma in Love, Audrey was a
stylistic choice, influenced by other bands’ punctuation in their names,
though it took some time to settle on the final look. Their journey as a
band came together naturally, with lead guitarist Owen and drummer
Willie playing together in a previous project before disbanding in 2021.
When Owen returned from college, he and lead singer Kienna brought a
binder of songs to Willie, hoping to spark something new. After just a
couple of shows, they realized they needed a bassist, and that’s where
Davis came in—completing the lineup that would go on to record their
debut EP, Greetings from Rocket Park!
One song particularly meaningful to the band is The Avenues, the first song they ever played live. While it wasn’t part of their set that night, the song holds a special place in their hearts because it allows each member to have a solo moment, showcasing their individual skills. It’s a track that represents the band’s dynamic and the way they complement one another musically, reinforcing why Love, Audrey has quickly become a band to watch.
