The 502s Bring Joy, Dance, and Deep Connection to Daybreak Utah

July 3, 2025

The 502s lit up the stage with their vibrant energy and infectious joy during their return to Utah, and fans showed up ready to match it. Two friends, Ansley and Danica, traveled from Murray to see the band for their second time. Danica first discovered The 502s on Instagram and instantly connected with their feel-good sound. Her favorite song, Something Is Going To Go Our Way, reminds her to stay hopeful and trust the journey. Ansley loves Just A Little While for its upbeat rhythm and message that instantly lifts her spirits.

Among the crowd were also Em and Nautia, two Salt Lake City roommates whose bond with The 502s runs deep. For Em, this marked her 13th 502s show—starting with her very first one in London in 2022. She’s been a fan since discovering them in 2021, and quickly passed the love on to Nautia. Em’s favorite song is Enjoy The Ride, a track that hits home every time. “Life is going to come and go,” she shared, “but enjoy the moment.” Nautia, now attending her second show, added that The 502s have become their go-to band for finding joy in everyday life.

Before the show, I sat down with the band for a fun rapid-fire Q&A.

Q: Who goes the hardest on stage?

A: Everyone immediately voted for Joe.

Q: Best dancer on stage?

A: Once again, Joe took the title unanimously.

Q: Weirdest tour habits?

A: Ed and Joe were the winners here—with no details given, but plenty of laughter.

Q: Most likely to get lost at a rest stop?

A: Sean. “He’s not lost—we lose him,” they joked, explaining he tends to wander off from the group.

Q: What do you hope fans take away from your newest track Summer Fling?

Graci: Not everything in life is serious. Find your happy moments.

Sean: A summer fling can be anything that makes you happy—like swimming.

Ed: Make memories with the windows down and the music loud.

Nick: Let the song encourage you to embrace summer and have a good time.

Joe: Soak up the love and reflect on sweet memories—and try strawberries and cream.

Q: Describe The 502s in three emojis.

Graci: 🤪🌊🍤

Sean: 🎉👼🏻😈

Ed: 🍊🏝️🍹

Nick: 😎🙌🏻🦩

Joe: 🎂🔥👍🏻

Q: What should fans bring to your show—mentally or physically?

The band all agreed: Mentally, bring an open heart and leave your worries at the door. Physically, come ready to dance, wear comfy clothes, and embrace every moment.

The 502s didn’t just play music—they created a space where strangers became friends, and every lyric felt like a reminder to live louder, laugh harder, and dance like nobody’s watching. If joy had a soundtrack, this would be it.
