Sold-Out and Soul-Filled: Djo’s First Time in Utah Hits Every

Note

April 21,2025

Salt Lake City’s The Complex lit up with emotion and electricity as

Djo played to a sold-out crowd, drawing fans from all over the

country. One group of best friends traveled from Roy, Utah to see

Djo live for the first time. Each had a personal connection to a song

—Change reminded one that transformation is always possible,

Gold Line gave another comfort during lonely times, and Shadow

brought one fan back to dark memories of past relationships, while

reminding her how far she’s come. Another fan flew in from Los

Angeles to experience the show for a second time, drawn again by

the deeply relatable Half Life, which explores the contrast between

public and private identities in the digital age.

The night’s energy pulsed with vulnerability and

strength. One girl group from Layton, Utah shared how

Djo's lyrics shaped their personal growth: Glue helped

one fan stand her ground in tough conversations with

her parents, while another found hope in Link, a song

she felt speaks to the future and the power of younger

generations. Throughout the night, fans swayed,

danced, and sang as lights flashed across the stage,

amplifying Djo’s unique blend of psychedelia and

introspection. The crowd knew every word—even to

new unreleased tracks—and Basic became a shared

anthem as voices rose from front to back.

Steve Harrington—aka Joe Keery—made his love for

Utah known, calling the state beautiful and expressing

gratitude for the crowd and the journey with his friends.

From the stripped-down intimacy of Fly, performed with

only an acoustic guitar under the glow of flashlights, to

the quiet reflection of Charlie’s Garden at the piano, the

show moved through moments of introspection and joy.

He closed the night with the fan-favorite End of

Beginning, sending the audience into a final, euphoric

singalong. But it wasn’t quite over—Post Animal

returned to the stage, reuniting with their former

bandmate for Flash Mountain, ending the night on a

high, heartfelt note of reunion and celebration.
